We are excited to follow on the overwhelming success of last spring's Southern California Marimba Competition with an all new showcase this upcoming June 2011. We will again be inviting talented collegiate- and scholastic-level performers for a weekend of entertainment and competition. Fifteen collegiate-level performers will be chosen from a pool of international applicants starting November 1st. The scholastic category promises to be just as exhilarating, showing off our finest young high school marimba players.


SCPEF is thrilled to provide opportunities for students & professionals who wish to prepare for international competitions, upcoming auditions or any other opportunities they may find. Each participant will receive feed back from our internationally acclaimed panel. The winning laureates will receive scholarship money along with additional gifts from our sponsors. This year we are excited to hold our competition at California State University, Long Beach, California.
